The Academic Learning Center

Welcome to the Academic Learning Center. Whether you are a first-time college student, a transfer student or a returning adult student, you may need assistance for one or more of your classes.

We have peer tutors from all of the majors who can help you be successful at The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago. Additionally, General Education instructors and Hospitality Restaurant Management instructors provide tutoring in the Academic Learning Center. They offer individual and small group tutoring services. They will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and provide direction and personal assistance.

Conveniently located in the mart and loop campuses and with hours that extend into the evenings, the Illinois Institute of Art's Academic Learning Centers can help students realize their full academic potential. We offer drop-in tutoring services but you are also welcomed to schedule recurring appointments. Other services include: workshops, make-up testing and paper drop-off. Remember to check our website regularly for dates and times of workshops and study groups to help sharpen your skills.
